This policy explains how Exodia handles information in PowerERD, our browser extension for creating entity relationship diagrams and related exports from Dataverse and SharePoint Online. It applies to the extension itself and is separate from Exodia’s general website privacy policy.
Information the Extension Can Access
When you use PowerERD, it uses your existing signed-in Microsoft session to request read-only metadata that your account is allowed to read. For Dataverse, this may include solutions, tables, columns or attributes, and relationships. For SharePoint Online, this may include the active site, visible custom lists, fields, and Lookup relationships needed to build a diagram.
PowerERD does not grant itself additional access and cannot read information that Microsoft does not make available to your signed-in account.
Local Processing
Requests, diagram rendering, and the creation of Mermaid or Markdown, Excel, and PNG files take place in your browser. PowerERD does not upload the Dataverse or SharePoint Online information it reads to an Exodia server or store it in an Exodia-hosted database.
The extension sends authenticated read-only requests directly to Microsoft when you use its Dataverse or SharePoint features. Other information leaves the extension only when you choose an action such as copying content, downloading a file, or using another browser or operating-system function that you explicitly invoke. Those destinations are then governed by their own privacy terms.
Browser-Local Data
The extension may keep authorization information, environment or site details, tab context, and temporary working data in chrome.storage.session provided by your browser. This storage supports the extension’s features, is intended for the current browser session, and is not accessible to Exodia as a remote copy. Expired authorization information is cleared when detected.
Anyone who controls your operating-system account or browser profile may share access to data stored in that profile. Keep your device, browser profile, and Microsoft account appropriately secured.
Analytics and Tracking
PowerERD does not use cookies, advertising identifiers, analytics, telemetry, or behavioral tracking. It does not create a remote user profile from your activity.
Microsoft and Other Services
PowerERD communicates directly with the Microsoft services required to access Dataverse and SharePoint Online through your authenticated session. The handling of account information, authentication credentials, and service data by Microsoft is subject to Microsoft’s own terms and privacy documentation.
PowerERD does not include an Exodia backend for collecting or processing your Dataverse or SharePoint Online data.
Security and User Control
Data handled locally by PowerERD is protected by the browser’s security model and by the security of your device and account. You can remove locally stored extension data through your browser settings, revoke Microsoft access where available, or uninstall PowerERD at any time. Uninstalling removes the extension and its browser-managed storage, subject to the browser’s own behavior.
Changes to This Policy
We may revise this policy when PowerERD’s functionality or data practices change. The latest version and effective date will be published on this page.
